Locations and hours. Available from January - April 15.
Reproducible Maryland and federal income tax forms
for the current tax year are also available to be photocopied.
Some libraries also have a limited range of forms for past years. Call your
local library for
details.
The charge to photocopy these forms is $0.15 per page. If a
particular form cannot be located, please ask for help at the Information Desk.
Our libraries have reference and circulating books to help with preparing
either personal or business
income tax forms. For a list of material owned search the

Prepares your Maryland income tax return and electronically
files it free of charge. To take advantage of this service, bring your completed federal

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA)
by Internal Revenue Service
Offers free tax help to low- to moderate-income
(generally, $40,000 and below) people who cannot prepare their own tax
returns. Certified volunteers sponsored by various organizations prepare
basic tax returns in communities across the country. VITA sites are
generally located at community and neighborhood centers, schools,
shopping malls, and other convenient locations. Most locations also offer

Property Assessment
Maryland
State Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT)

Property tax bills are issued in
July/August of each year by the 24 counties (including Baltimore City) and
the 155 incorporated municipalities (cities) in Maryland. The amount of the
tax bill is determined by two factors: (1) the assessment; (2) the property
tax rate. Assessments are based on the fair market value of the property and
are issued by the Department of Assessments and Taxation, an agency of State
government. Property tax rates are set by each unit of government - the
State, counties, and cities.
