Survey

Find current estimates (2007) for jurisdictions with a population over
65,000. In December 2008, the Bureau will provide 3-year estimates based on data collected from 2005 to 2007 and
will include all geographic areas with populations of 20,000 or more.

What is the American Community Survey?
This is an ongoing survey by the Census Bureau that provides data
about your community every year. It is designed to provide communities
with a fresh look at how they are changing between the decennial
censuses. Its questionnaire will replace the decennial long form in
future censuses.

The census is a count of everyone living in the United States taken

Program
Every ten years, governors and state legislatures are given official population
figures to be used to determine legislative and election boundaries. The
process of setting
the boundaries of their congressional and other election districts is known as
redistricting. The Census Bureau is planning for the Census 2010
redistricting effort.
