Census Activities in Maryland

The decennial census day is right around the corner on April 1, 2010. The census is the basis for congressional, state and local political
reapportionment and redistricting based on one-person one vote. Planning
for this event is currently taking place.
American
Community Survey: Maryland

by United States Census Bureau
An ongoing survey by the Bureau that provides data every year. It is designed to provide communities with a
fresh look at how they are changing between the decennial censuses. Its
questionnaire will replace the decennial long form in future censuses.
Find current estimates (2007) on Maryland and any Maryland jurisdiction
with a population over 65,000. In December 2008, the Bureau will provide
3-year estimates based on data collected
from 2005 to 2007 and will include all geographic areas with populations
of 20,000 or more.
